Rafting Information
The best time for river rafting in this park is from July to the first week of November. Apart from rafting people can enjoy fishing, angling, and rappelling in this river. The river rafting in Jim Corbett National Park starts from the Garjiya (Suspension bridge) and ends at different points. It depends on which company and what package you are choosing for the raft. The distance between the points is around 7 to 8 kilometers or it can be 10 to 12 km which takes about 1 or 2 hours to complete. The rafting starts at 6 am in the morning, after every hour you can find rafts till 6 pm in the evening.
Rafting: Rafting is an adventurous sport in which you will sit in rafts and go inside the water. You will use pads or can say handles through which you have to take your boat toward the ending point with the help of waves. It’s a fun activity to enjoy a good time in Jim Corbett Park. This river is a source of water for the wildlife of this national park. The eastern part of the park is entirely fed by the Kosi River which flows from Mohaan to Ramnagar via Dhikuli. Before it exits from Uttarakhand the Kosi Rivers cover a large part of Jim Corbett National Park and the Ramnagar district of Nainital.
